Finalists run hard in Riders kickoff contest

Angela Bedore and Devan Haider, the last two finalists in the $10,000 kickoff contest, take part in the last elimination round during the Weyburn Rider Nation's Epic Rider party held Thursday evening at Jubilee Park. Haider ended up as the last finalist who had to attempt a 50-yard field goal in order to win the $10,000 top prize, and his kick fell short. The Epic party was held to show that Weyburn is Riderville, the home of the greatest Rider fans in the province; on-line voting for the Riderville contest will run from Aug. 13 to 31, and the winning community will be named at the Riders' Labour Day Classic football game.For more photos from the Rider Pride party, check out the photo gallery.Review photo 2114 - Greg Nikkel
