The local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society will be launching their 2011 daffodil season with a presentation by Kelly Walker.
Walker is an author, therapist, storyteller, public speaker and musician who will give a one-hour presentation at the Royal Canadian Legion Rimy Room on Friday, February 4. The presentation is entitled, "Daffodils come out from the cold: reflections on growth."
The free event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. and will include a lunch for $8. Guests are asked to contact the local Cancer Society office to inform them of their attendance.
The next major fundraising event for the Weyburn branch of the Canadian Cancer Society is Relay For Life, which will be held at River Park on June 10 and 11.
