The Signal Hill Arts Centre is featuring a photography exhibition by seven members of the Soo Line Camera Club. This photographic display is available for public viewing on the second floor of the Signal Hill Arts Centre during regular business hours: Monday to Thursday (9 a.m. to noon; 1 to 10 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon; 1 to 4 p.m.)
The exhibit features a diversity of subjects and styles and includes the creative works of Sid Trepoff, Art Wallace, John Woodward, Mary Jacobs, Daryl Fleck, Kim Schneider and Art Beck.
The Camera Club welcomes new members. They meet at the Signal Hill Arts Centre on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. The club offers many opportunities to members, including darkroom instruction, field trips, presentations, camaraderie, photo displays and fun.
The Signal Hill Arts Centre is offering a Photography 3 course on Creative Composition on Saturday, February 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Emphasis of the class will be on applying rules of composition, incorporating elements of design and creating tonal harmony to produce a series of images that have visual impact. Participants will take part in photographic assignments and an image critique session to further develop their technical skills.
