The second Sunday of May is Mother's Day. Some people want to rename Mother's Day as Family Day. Personally I do not agree with that, because the meaning of the family has been changing from time to time. Also society divides the family into many different categories depending on various situations such as traditional or nuclear family, two parents or single parent family, natural or social family, regional or universal family, and so forth. Although there are many different types of mothers, a mother is mother. Some people may not be a part of a family, but everyone has been born from a mother.
Mother is indeed a special and unique person on the earth. Every child eventually becomes an adult, and every adult gradually becomes a senior citizen. But not everyone can become a mother. Biologically, physically and potentially all women are born to be mothers, but not every woman becomes a mother. Only mother knows the experience of human life conceived, grown and born. The only person in the world who is able to share her nutrition, blood, flesh and mind with a baby is the mother. The only person who is closely attached with a baby physically, emotionally and spiritually for nine months in her body is the mother. The mother is the only person who is able to participate in the joy of the creation of human life.
Therefore mother should be distinguished from the category of woman, lady or female. I believe that there are three types of human 小蓝视频s, "man, woman and mother" or "male, female and mother." Some may have lost their mother. Some may have been separated from their mother. Or some may have forgotten their mother. But no matter what situation you are in and what mother you may have; lost, forgotten, adopted, step or natural mother, Mother's Day is a good opportunity to think and express your thanks and appreciation to your mother.
Jesus remembered and was concerned for his mother while he was on the cross. "When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, "Woman, here is your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Here is your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his own house" (John 19:26-27). Truly mother is a special and unique 小蓝视频 among people not only for Jesus himself but for everyone as well. Among the many theological significances of Jesus' mother in her role and work for the life of Jesus and the early Christianity, an important one is that even Jesus who is the Son of God, the Son God in Trinity, had to depend on his biological mother, Mary, in order to be born into the world to save the whole universe. Indeed "woman is weak but mother is strong!"
