During the last few weeks, eight people have passed away in the Carlyle and district area. Their ages varied from their twenties to over one hundred years. The majority of them were relatively young. Although there is an order to come into the world, unfortunately, there is no order to leave this world. An elderly lady told me that she had had twelve siblings. She was the sixth child among them, but only she and her youngest sister were left now. She also told me that when she was young she enjoyed her time with her many siblings. But as they passed away one by one, her sorrow added up each time more than others who had less siblings. Sometimes we question why there is no order to go? If younger people can go prior to older ones, then what does age really mean?
Indeed age does not mean much nowadays! So experts analyze age in different perspectives. They categorize people not only according to birth ages but also physical, mental, social and even spiritual ages, depending on each one's biological, emotional, mental, social, spiritual ability and adaptability. An elderly man said that he is over ninety years of age but his physical age is almost in the seventies. So it tells us that depending on how each one takes care their individual body, mind and soul, it can impact our age to be younger than the age of the date of birth. Truly we all are living in a very challenging time period of human history. It also demands a great amount of time, energy and effort to take good care of each one's well 小蓝视频.
People are born into the world when the time has been fulfilled. There are not a lot of differences in the ways of 小蓝视频 born. Regardless of who, what, where and how they are, people are simply born. But the way to die is much different depending on each one's own unique situation and particular circumstance. Some die by natural causes at a good old age. Some die by other causes at premature ages. There are many different causes of death in our society such as disease, famine, obesity, persecution, war, plague, natural disaster, accident, suicide, genocide, homicide, murder, euthanasia, assassination, and even martyrdom. Thus death is a far more complicated issue than birth. And there is some degree of flexibility to choose how to face death depending on each person's preparation and readiness.
A German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, "If you are not ready to die, you are not ready to live." A great irony is that everyone is born to live, but actually everyone is born to die. Nobody is able to live forever in this world. Therefore the matter of life is not how to avoid or escape from death in fear, frustration and anxiety, but rather how to face and deal with it in preparation and readiness in hope for the future in life after death. The Bible clearly says that there is new life, eternal life, in the new world. "If for this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died" (1 Corinthians 15:19-20). If we all believe that in hope of Christ Jesus there is new life after death, then it would be much easy to face the death which will come to each of us once anyway. And until then in the hope of resurrection we are able to enjoy our life and do the work that we should do each day and everyday for the sake of taking good care of our well 小蓝视频. Who knows? Then you and I may seem to look much younger than we are now!
