Braving the cold weather, the 5th Weyburn Scouts group is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday, January 3 at the former Sarcan location. Scouts will be on hand that day to collect empty bottles, cans and juice boxes from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The Scouts will hit the streets of Weyburn, knocking on doors, collecting as many recyclables as they can but also encourage the drop-off location as an alternative for residents who wish to donate.
All of the fund-raising collections will go towards the Scouts camp or registration fees. Anyone requiring more information can call Mark Thorn at 306-842-6319.
