Weyburn’s Tenille Arts recently released the song Breathe on iTunes as a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis.
“The response to the song was overwhelming. On the release day, it went all the way up to #6 on the Country iTunes Chart! It has created awareness for Cystic Fibrosis in a unique way and I can't wait to see how far we can take it. I hope people continue to download the song," said Tenille.
Tenille had two TV performances and interviews leading up to the release, and also visited local radio stations in Weyburn and Regina.
Arts headed to Montreal, Canada for the Cystic Fibrosis Canada Annual General Meeting on April 23 to perform. From there, she will attend the SCMA's in Yorkton where she is nominated for the Rising Star Award. The next stop will bring her back to Weyburn on May 1, for the 7th Annual Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser that is СƵ held at McKenna Hall. The annual event is organized by Mike and Cara, parents of Teresa Weger, a young girl who has won Tenille’s heart.
“I got involved with Cystic Fibrosis fundraising because of Teresa Weger. She's an amazing 10 year old girl who happens to have CF," said Tenille.
Tickets for the CF fundraiser are $60 a piece or $520 for a round table of eight. The evening will start with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. and supper at 7:00 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Arts and Codie Provost. Tickets are available at NSWB Law Firm, The Void or by contacting Cara Weger at (306)861-6713 or [email protected].
In addition to the 7th Annual Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser, Arts is scheduled to perform at the Cugnet Centre on May 14 at 7:00 p.m, for a fundraiser for CF titled “So You Think You Can Dance”. Tickets will be available at the door for $10.
