Agriculture history was on display in Midale on Saturday and Sunday for the Souris Valley Antique Association鈥檚 annual Pioneer Echoes Weekend.
Numerous activities were offered each day, with the bulk of the events concentrated in the town鈥檚 antique village. Many of the historical buildings in the village were open for such activities as tours, demonstrations and a flea market. Fried bread and Saskatoon berry pie sold in the buildings, too.聽
One of the highlights each day was the antique vehicle parade. Old-time agricultural implements and classic vehicles rolled through the historic village鈥檚 grounds, attracting the attention of the crowd.
A threshing demonstration allowed the public to witness an old-fashioned agricultural technique.
Children scrambled through hay piles, looking for quarters.聽
The Prairie Travelers played music each day. 聽
There was also a pancake breakfast each morning, a children鈥檚 rodeo on the first day and a non-denominational church service on the second day.聽
