ESTEVAN - While Estevan did not get hit as hard as other parts of the province, the Energy City is still digging out from snow that hit Thursday and Friday.
City crews have been removing snow from arterial roads, while contractors have been clearing parking lots and other areas.
The Highway Hotline for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure reports that winter conditions exist on area highways, with such issues as icy or slippery sections, loose snow, snow drifts, swirling snow and drifting snow.
Travel was not recommended on some southeast highways early Friday due to the snow, but the do not travel advisories have been lifted.
The snowfall warning that was issued early Thursday was lifted at 10:20 a.m. Friday for the Estevan, Carlyle and Weyburn areas, but it remains in place for the Regina region.
