The Assiniboia Early Childhood Coalition opened the Assiniboia Family Centre on November 7 and it will be holding a grand opening on Monday, November 20. The centre is located in the old library at 110 Fourth Avenue next to the Post Office. The grand opening starts at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with open play, tours and activities. A ribbon cutting event and speeches take place at 10:30 a.m. The centre is a free drop in space for children of all ages to play. It plans to have open play, crafts, games and other activities. The centre is a non-profit program that will be open Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
