SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - There are now four candidates vying to be the next member of Parliament in Souris-Moose Mountain.

Sheena Muirhead-Koops of the New Democratic Party and Aziz Mian of the Liberal Party are the latest people to join the field. The other hopefuls are Steven Bonk of the Conservative Party and Remi Rheault of the Green Party.

They are in the race to replace Robert Kitchen of the Conservative Party. Kitchen, who was the Souris-Moose Mountain MP since 2015, announced last summer he would not seek re-election.

The People's Party of Canada has yet to post their candidate for Souris-Moose Mountain on their website. They had someone when the election was called on March 23, but that person is no longer running for the PPC.

The deadline for candidates to file their nomination with Elections Canada is April 7. The list of candidates will be official on April 9.

Election day is April 28.
