PRINCE ALBERT -
Fourteen athletes and two coaches from the Estevan Archery Club's Junior Olympic Program (JOP) travelled to provincials in Prince Albert on April 13.
Andrew Fleck, Ava Fiest, Buck Petterson, Dylan Symons, Ella Petterson, Jerome Kim, Juri Kim, Levi Ellis, Max Ogdanskiy, Nevada Sernick, Noah Hurren, Savannah Mantei, Sonja Kraushaar and Taylor Ellis competed, while Kyle Petterson and Travis Fortowsky were the coaches. The club noted all of the archers did very well, and more than 450 archers were entered among the different classes.
Three athletes – Juri Kim, Ogdanskiy and Hurren – advanced to the finals in their respective divisions, with Ogdanskiy and Hurren bringing home bronze medals from provincials.
