ESTEVAN - Vendors from across the province were in Estevan on April 4 and 5 for the third annual Emporium Market at the Days Inn and the Beefeater Plaza.

Teagan Howe, owner of Fedora and Bloom Events, which organized the market, said they have a variety of vendors, including jewelry, handmade art and design, children's and adult clothing, food and more. Most of the vendors are from Regina and Saskatoon, but some were from Estevan and surrounding areas.

She described it as an "elevated" market, so multi-level marketing companies were not invited.

"If you created your own business, you're able to be at the market," said Howe.

With two different locations in close proximity, shoppers split time between the two, and they had a good turnout each day. She estimated they had 200-300 people on April 4 and she was looking forward to a larger crowd the following day.

"It's in two different locations, so we're just trying to make sure that everyone knows about both, and not getting one location skipped," said Howe.

Last year the Emporium Market attracted about 450 people, when it was a one-day gathering.

Howe said the market is part of her event-planning business, and she said she likes to host events and bring something new to Estevan.
