ESTEVAN - Water main breaks are having an impact in the city of Estevan on Feb. 20.
According to a post on the city's Facebook page, Bannatyne Avenue between Henry Street and Albert Street is closed, including the west sidewalk. The closure will remain in effect throughout the night and into Feb. 21 until repairs are completed. The public is asked to avoid this area during construction.
Also, the intersection of 18th Avenue and First Street is closed overnight as work continues until the repair is completed on that water main break.
According to the city, the northeast area of Estevan, including Souris Avenue North, King Street and Spruce Drive, might be experiencing low water pressure. Crews are actively working on-site, with repairs continuing overnight and through tomorrow.
The breaks come as the city is experiencing a gradual warm-up period following several days of extremely cold temperatures.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
