聽 聽 聽 聽Lorraine passed away peacefully surrounded by love, peace and her family, on December 30, 2016, in Abbotsford, B.C. Beloved mother of Tony (Debbie McMahon), Terry (Sylvie Bourget) and Lynda (Jerry Vanc), she will be missed by them and her cherished grand-children, Jessika, Vanessa and Sas盲; her sister, Louise Downing, her brother-in-law, Les Downing, her sisters-in-law, Annette and Dale Van Loo; and many wonderful nephews, nieces and friends.
聽聽聽聽聽聽 She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ted, and her dear brothers, Maurice and Wilfred.聽
聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lorraine was the third child of four, born in Pipestone, Manitoba to Annette Olivier, from Oak Lake, Manitoba, and D茅sir茅 Van Loo, from Belgium. Raised on a farm surrounded by supportive neighbours and nature, Lorraine was later schooled in a Catholic boarding school in Winnipeg. She then worked as a town clerk in Wawota, Saskatchewan. She married Theodore Woroniak and they established their family in Wawota. Her husband unfortunately died a few years later and she bravely raised her three children.
聽聽聽聽聽聽 She is remembered for her quiet strength and generosity, her optimistic outlook on life, her love for her family, her kind heart and her great sense of humour. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Menno Home of Abbotsford for their kindness, professionalism and support.聽聽
聽聽聽聽聽聽 Respecting her wishes, a celebration of Lorraine鈥檚 life will be held in early summer in Virden, Manitoba. Details will be organized by her sons and daughter.聽聽
