ASSINIBOIA - The Assiniboia and District Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual golf tournament at the Assiniboia Regional Park Golf Course on June 4.
This years tournament had 70 golfers and a beautiful sunny day. Cat Country 98 was the door prize sponsor, which was a branded mini fridge with two tickets to the Country Thunder Music Festival in Craven. This was won by Sandy Sinclair.
The annual tournament also included proximity prizes for Men’s Longest Drive (Bob St.Croix), Ladies Longest Drive (Debbie Hysuick), Ladies Closest to the Pin (Jackie Moneo), Men’s Longest Put (Ken Bahuaud), Ladies Longest Put (Joy MacDonald), Top Mixed Team (Dwight and Joanne Vallee), Top Ladies Team (Anne Oncescu and Joy MacDonald) and Top Men’s Team (Tim Cobbe and Kim Waiting).
The annual prize parade at the tournament had over 50 different prizes donated by local businesses. The 50/50 winner, Robin Brin, took home a prize of $375.
With another successful golf tournament in the books, the Assiniboia and District Chamber of Commerce appreciates all the businesses who donated prizes and showed their support. They appreciate all the golfers that came out and made this years tournament such a success.
