When full-scale cleanup begins in May, temporary 鈥淣o Parking鈥 signs will be placed to allow crews full access to the curb.

SASKATOON — With the arrival of spring and the melting of snow, the City of Saskatoon has begun early street sweeping operations to remove winter debris from high-traffic roadways.

Throughout April, crews will focus on major streets — those with heavy traffic and significant buildup of dirt and debris. Sweepers will clear gutters and medians, navigating around parked vehicles to remove as much material as possible before the City-wide full sweep begins.

City-wide street sweeping is set to begin in early May. At that time, temporary “No Parking” signs will be placed to allow crews full access to the curb. Residents are encouraged to move their vehicles as signed to ensure a complete and efficient cleanup of every neighbourhood.

In addition to sweeping, road maintenance teams are actively addressing potholes. Crews are applying cold mix asphalt as a temporary fix to high-priority areas until hot mix becomes available later this month. If you notice a pothole that poses a danger to drivers or a sunken pavement patch, you can report it on the City’s and we’ll get to it as soon as we can. More information is available at .

The City of Saskatoon appreciates the cooperation of residents in maintaining clean and well-maintained roadways. For more details on the street sweeping schedule, visit .

We thank all residents for their cooperation in helping keep Saskatoon's roadways clean, safe and ready for the season ahead.
