U of R to discuss impacts of tariffs

The University of Regina is hosting a panel, 'TARIFFS: THE US TRUMPS CANADA,' which will discuss the impact of the ongoing trade war.

REGINA - With the ongoing trade war between the U.S and Canada regarding tariffs, the University of Regina (U of R) is set to host a panel, 'TARIFFS: THE US TRUMPS CANADA.'

The panel will discuss "Trump’s proposed tariffs, the ensuing trade wars, and their economic and political impacts on the global economy, Canada, and Saskatchewan," as stated in a news release.

Those joining the panel are Ron Styles, lecturer, department of economics, Dr. Viktoriya Galushko, associate professor, department of economics. Dr. Jim Farney, professor and director of Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS,) and the moderator, John Wright, a former lecturer in the department of economics.

The panel will take place on Thursday, March 13, between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the U of R classroom building (CL) 112.
