REGINA - The Regina Police Service is investigating the city’s second homicide of 2025.
At approximately 12:20 a.m. on April 10, police and EMS were dispatched to a at a home in the 400 block of East College Avenue. The caller reported an injured man on scene.
Upon arrival, police located the male victim and attempted life-saving measures. EMS arrived on scene and the male was declared deceased. Officers secured the scene and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit. An investigation in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service was launched. The investigation determined the death to be a homicide.
The victim is 42-year-old Christopher Seaton of Regina.
As result of the investigation, 36-year-old James Dubois of Regina is charged with:
- First-degree murder.
He was arrested in Davidson on April 10 by Regina Police Service Patrol, SWAT, and Canine Unit, with the assistance of RCMP and the RPS Aerial Support Unit.
Dubois will make his first appearance on these charges April 11 at 9:30 a.m. in Regina Provincial Court.
