SASKATOON - It's time to say goodbye to the Saskatchewan Liberals.

At their annual general meeting on the weekend in Saskatoon, the Saskatchewan Liberal Party voted to change their name and rebrand the party.

The motion for the name change passed by an 88 per cent margin. Now, the process begins for the party to look for a new name.

The Liberals have fallen on hard times over the last several years, holding no seats in the Legislature since 2003, and had suffered from 小蓝视频 associated with the federal Liberals' policies even though the Saskatchewan Liberals have been a separate organization for years.

“Ultimately, if we are to realistically fulfill our duty to help bring the greatest good to the greatest number of people then a reimagining of how to do exactly this is essential,” said Sask. Liberal Leader Jeff Walters in a statement.

Walters said he looks forward to "finding a name that best reflects the values and beliefs of this reimagining." The leader adds that there is “a singular opportunity for not just Sask Liberals but other individuals and groups as well to come together in common cause. To take our province back, it will require not just one party or group, but many to create a true movement. Such a display of unity of purpose is essential for the future of Saskatchewan.”
