ExploreSask photo contest winners announced

Competition received nearly 2,400 entries by the Sept. 15 deadline.

REGINA — Josiah Olson of Kinistino has been named the grand prize winner in Tourism Saskatchewan’s 2024 ExploreSask Photo Contest.

Olsen’s photo capturing a dragonfly on a wheat stalk was the top entry in the wildlife category.

Honourable mentions in that category went to Akash Christian, Regina; Herry Himanshu, Regina; Shawn Kary, Regina; Paul Norris, Saskatoon; and Robert Thompson, Milestone.

The competition, launched in June, received nearly 2,400 entries by the Sept. 15 deadline. 

The winning photos and honourable mentions, selected by a panel of external judges, capture the province's natural beauty and dynamic spirit. The images feature extraordinary landscapes, winter scenery, diverse experiences, magnificent wildlife and the unique character of Saskatchewan people.
