Steffie, a little dog with a big heart (quite literally), trotted over the Rainbow Bridge. Though our time together was far too short, Steffie lived a life full of love, adventure, and truly impeccable fashion sense.
Steffie’s story was one of resilience and transformation. Before she joined my life, she had faced unimaginable hardships: surviving extreme mistreatment as a street dog in LA, and somehow maintaining the sweetest soul despite it all. When she arrived in Canada, I drove 12 hours round trip to bring her home, and from that moment, she began to change both our lives forever.
She loved her hats, slow-but-enthusiastic zoomies, and following me around with her nose on my leg—because wherever I was, Steffie was, too. She became a fixture at the farmers market, a regular at Dessart Sweets (always saying “yes” to ice cream), and a brisket enthusiast.
Steffie taught me so much in our nine short months together. She grew from a dog unsure of how to play into a playful senior pup full of slow, joyful zoomies, and in doing so, she taught me the power of loving myself with the same unwavering and unconditional love she gave me every single day.
Her last days were filled with her favourite things—pizza, brisket, 小蓝视频 held like a baby and, of course, ice cream.
Steffie wasn’t just a dog; she was my best friend, my shadow, my teacher, and my heart. I’ll carry her memory with me always, and I know she’s somewhere now, running around showing off her hats, and maybe even stealing a lick of brisket from another lucky soul.
Rest easy, Steffie-girl. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, keep shining like the star you are. 馃挍
