It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Erna Houghton on October 28, 2024. Erna was predeceased by her husband Henry Wiens in 1988; her husband Roy Houghton in 2005; and her special friend Wolfgang Sooker in 2022. Erna is survived by her children Cliff (Eileen) Wiens, Janet (Wayne) Zinn, Diane (Tom) Giesinger, Calvin (Laurie) Wiens; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mom was a great cook. She loved crocheting afghans, playing bingo and going to the casino. She also loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She was always willing to help out in any way she could.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Moose Jaw Special Care Home for the special care provided to our mom.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society.
