It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Henry Froese, who passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, September 19th, 2024. Henry was born on May 4th, 1944, in Winkler, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Froese.

Henry was known for his great sense of humour and was always quick with witty remarks. He was an avid outdoorsman, and was passionate about gardening, camping, hunting, snowmobiling and ice fishing on Buffalo Pound Lake. His love for the outdoors was matched by his incredible woodworking skills. He could build or fix almost anything and was always willing to lend a hand. A sports enthusiast, Henry was a loyal supporter of the Moose Jaw Warriors and took immense pride in watching his children and grandchildren excel in their own athletic, academic, and artistic pursuits.

Henry’s career began in farming, followed by rail construction in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He later worked on a farm in Outlook, SK before taking mechanic courses and joining John Deere. He transitioned to driving trucks for Canada Post and then for Cypress Paving, where he proudly retired from in 2009.

Above all, Henry was proud of his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Kay Froese of Moose Jaw, SK; son, Kevin Froese (Denise); daughters, Cheryl Shiers (Mark) and Tammy Hagerty (Jeff); and seven cherished grandchildren: Josh, Emily, Ethan, Hannah, Abby, Katy, and Olivia.
