WILKIE — I would like to start off by acknowledging and congratulating all the 2022 graduates from McLurg High School. Special recognition goes to graduates Jayna Bottoroff, Tina Elder and Kaleb Fenrich, employees of the town of Wilkie. We wish all the graduates success in their future endeavours.
Congratulations to the recipients of the Wilkie Centennial Scholarship, Jaymie Myszczyszyn, Amy Gruber and Sarah Karstens. Thank you to all who applied for the scholarship. All applicants showed great academic marks and sense of community.
The Wilkie and District Culture Parks and Recreation Board hosted the Johner Brothers at the Saskcan Community Center on June 11 and the event was enjoyed by all in attendance. All money raised go to the new Wilkie Community Swimming Pool.
The swimming pool is open and the students from both McLurg and Norman Carter School enjoyed school swims before the end of the school year. Lessons are currently 小蓝视频 offered as well as some special programs such as aquasizes and synchronized swimming.

Work is continuing the downtown 2nd Avenue Park. Work will continue throughout the summer and should hopefully be completed by the end of August. This park will be a terrific addition to our downtown.
