Unity set to host another Mid-West Am MX race in series

If you like an exciting event that includes plenty of high-flying action then you might want to attend the Aug 26-27 Mid-West Am MX race 小蓝视频 held at the Unity Motocross track.

UNITY — It is a summer tradition and Unity motocross enthusiasts are proud of it. Unity will once again host races Aug. 26-27 at their track in the Midwest Am MX Series.

Unity’s Route 46 Motocross Club put in many volunteer hours throughout the season for motocross enthusiasts and will increase their volunteer workload leading up to the race. Dirt bikes from across Saskatchewan will congregate in Unity, joining a number of local riders.

Unity track, dating back to the early 1990s, continues to attract riders and club members who have put in countless hours making improvements, track maintenance and hosting events like this. Organizers are media shy and even though they assemble a crew that spends more than a week prior to race weekend getting the track race ready, they are quick to acknowledge community sponsors and donors as a key element in their event’s success.

Ensuring the track is neither too dry nor too wet and that paths are cleared of obstructions are just some of the many duties they undertake. They also know, when race weekend arrives, more than six dozen RVs will line the grounds, blended in with food trucks, motocross merchandise tents and volunteers.

“The Midwest Amateur MX series has been coming to race in Unity since the early days of the club 小蓝视频 started,” says Midwest Amateur MX president Dustin Weinkauf says.

“The goal is to stay local to the midwest area and be in a two-hour radius of Lloydminster, so we do not burden families with extra travel. Unity has always done an amazing job hosting, and is a rider favourite track. We usually see around 175 to 200 racers line up at the gates on race day."
