RCMP deploy spike belt

Break and enter, keeping the peace and item flying off semi striking a vehicle all in this week's Unity RCMP report

RCMP reports for the week of Oct. 5 – Oct. 11:

UNITY REPORTS

RCMP received a report of an item flying off a semi and hitting a vehicle windshield on Highway 21 south of Unity. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members located the subject in a vehicle, which then fled from police. A spike belt was deployed to assist in stopping the vehicle. Members apprehended the subject and transported them to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter into a rural residence outbuilding. There are no suspects at this time.

Members issued a warning to a resident after receiving a noise complaint.

A 25-year-old man from the Unity area was charged with assault after a member received a complaint of assault.

Members spoke to an individual regarding vaping laws and youth.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and left them in the care of a family member.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Scott. Reported for information purposes.

There were also two traffic complaints and two false alarms.

WILKIE REPORTS

RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter into a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one traffic complaint.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP attended the sudden death of a 59-year-old Macklin man. The death was not suspicious in nature.

Members received a request to keep the peace while a tow company repossessed a vehicle.

Police received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved property items from a residence.
