Community Canada Day activities upcoming in Luseland and Unity

Unity and Luseland residents don't have to travel out of town to be part of Canada Day festivities as both communities hosting multiple events throughout July 1

UNITY - Communities are cherishing the opportunity to celebrate Canada Day festivities in person once again. Press-Herald communities are reminding residents they don’t have to go far to take part in July 1 activity. Several communities in the Press-Herald readership area will be hosting events. All event organizers note their gratitude for volunteers who help out with Canada Day festivities to make for enjoyable experiences for all those who participate.

Luseland has a day full of fun and festivity lined up that will include Disney characters Anna and Elsa who will be at the fairgrounds for photos. The event actually kicks off on June 30 with a mixed slo-pitch tournament, refreshment gardens and DJ all at the fairgrounds.

July 1 in Luseland begins with a Canada Day 小蓝视频 at Town Square followed by cupcakes and coffee at the Pioneer Club. The museum will be hosting activities in their country school theme. Kids’ activities will be ongoing at the fairgrounds, as will the slo pitch tournament. The Pioneer Club is hosting bingo and the community hall will have a movie. Even the swimming pool is part of the day’s fun hosting pool Olympics and special activities. Luseland Credit Union is hosting a family street dance and the refreshment gardens will continue at the fairgrounds.

In Unity, a pancake breakfast will kick things off followed by a church service. Buildings will be open to the public with opening ceremonies and flag raising at noon. Two live performers will keep toes tapping throughout the afternoon. The Unity Chamber of Commerce will serve birthday cake at 2 p.m. and a beef on-a-bun supper will begin at 5 p.m. The day will include outdoor games, wagon rides, speeder rides, tractor and vehicle rides, concession stand, slip and slide and bouncy house, doughnuts, Round Valley Reptiles critters, as well as demos of rope making, clay oven bread baking and blacksmith shop demonstrations will be part of the day's events. Unity Museum Canada Day activity will be capped off with a fireworks show

Wilkie Museum will be undertaking their fundraising grasshopper drop on July 1.
