Kindersley Stallions were not able to defend their North Saskatchewan River Baseball League championship after 小蓝视频 knocked out of playoffs during quarter finals by the Wilkie Brewers.

Four teams slugged it out in semi finals with Standard Hill Lakers, Macklin Lakers, Wilkie Brewers and North Battleford Beavers. After the Brewers bounced the Beavers in the semi-finals it set them up for a best of three series for the league title against the Standard Hill Lakers, and as one fan aptly stated, “This series was epic.”

The opening game of the final series, on home diamonds, ended in a 4-3 loss for the Brew Crew meaning they were in a must win game two situation on the road. Wilkie brought it big stunning the Lakers with a lopsided win of 17-3 ensuring they would play a third and final game for the league championship. For the Brewers, it brought added advantage of playing on home diamond and Brewers fans made sure to bring the noise.

Game three had fans in suspense as the Brewers trailed the Lakers 4-1 after five and a half innings. A line drive taken off the leg by pitcher Tanner Huber was concerning and brought in Cory Wildeman  to the mound. Wildeman also incurred a leg mishap when covering first base as he collided with an incoming player. However, he was not deterred.

A four-run sixth inning secured the 5-4 win for the Brew Crew with Wilkie getting three outs in the top of seven, with two runners left on base for the Lakers in the loss.

A jubilant crowd celebrated the win with the team.
