The Wilkie Chamber of Commerce announced their Christmas promotion with two turkeys 小蓝视频 given away each day starting Dec. 5, and five turkeys on Dec. 21 and Dec. 22. Employees of participating stores were eligible to win only if they entered in stores other than the ones in which they worked.

RM and town representatives – H. Taylor and Reeve Deck, Grass Lake; Mrs. Braithwaite and Reeve Powell, Round Valley; Ed Hoffart, Buffalo; Mr. Savostianik and Reeve McKenzie, Tramping Lake; and George Gray, Mayor Walter Haight and Councillor Len Boxell, Unity – along with hospital administrator R. Duns met to discuss how to finance and operate an ambulance service, after privately owned Unity Ambulance announced intentions to discontinue operation.

Co-op was advertising early Christmas shopping with deals on cameras, including an Instamatic with camera, film cartridge and flash cubes for $18.95. a Polaroid “Zip” for $12.49, and – recommended as “a great gift for mother and dad – a Hanimex slide projector for $88.88.

Former Lazers Braydon Blanchette and Scott Wagner of Unity and Nick Pernitsky of Wilkie brought a neutral site junior hockey game to Unity, playing for the Lloydminster Junior B Bandits against the Wainwright Bisons.

Western Auto Body Inc. won Business of the Year at the Wilkie Business Association’s fifth annual business appreciation wine and cheese social.

Unity Public School invited seniors and other residents to come and walk in their halls in the early mornings, to avoid ice and other winter obstacles outdoors.
