SASKATOON - Police are investigating several stabbings in Saskatoon.
Members of the Serious Assault Unit are investigating an altercation, which occurred yesterday, resulting in injuries to at least two people.
At approximately 9 a.m., Jan. 2, police were called to the rear of a building in the 600 block of 20th Street West.
The caller had reported an injured person.
When they arrived, officers located a 39-year-old man suffering from a serious injury. He was transported to Royal University Hospital for treatment.
Initial investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between several people involving a machete and a knife.
Later in the day, officers attended to St. Paul's Hospital where a 45-year-old man, also believed to have been involved in the incident, had sought treatment for serious injuries.
