WOG: Anne Marie Wog ~ 1916 - 2011. The Family of Anne Wog is saddened to announce her passing at North Battleford, SK on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Wog in 1969; her son, Harold in 1989; her son-in-law, Arthur Steedsman in 2003 and a great-grandson. Anne was also predeceased by her parents, Ben and Helen German; two infant brothers; her sister, Eva and her husband John Fritz; brothers, Beanus and wife Moreen; Adam and wife Marie; Pete and wife Tilly and Barney. Anne is survived by her children: daughter, Helen Steedsman; sons, Ronald (Helen), Bob (Iris) and Lorne (Lesley); 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Helen Behm, Rosaline Schroh, Jean (Eugene) Hartman; brothers, Tony (Helen) German and Walter (Alice) German. Anne was born on the homestead east of Luseland, Saskatchewan to parents Helen and Ben German, and was the first of thirteen children. She married Joseph Wog in 1935. They lived in Minton, Baloil, Kerrobert and Saskatoon. Anne worked at St. Paul's Hosptial, retiring in 1981. Anne resided in Saskatoon until ill health necessitated her to move to a Nursing Home in Saskatoon in 1995. In 2006, her family moved Anne to Villa Pascal in North Battleford to be closer to her family. Anne was a dedicated parish member of St. Mary's and St. John Bosco Catholic Parish in Saskatoon. Anne was also a dedicated member of the CWL for over seventy years. Her faith and serving her community were very important elements in Anne's life. Vigil Of Prayer was held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. from "The Garden Chapel" ~ Battlefords Funeral Service, North Battleford, SK with Fr. Gerard Legaspi, Presider. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, Battleford, SK with Fr. Greg Elder, Celebrant. Gifts of Music were shared by Organsit, Mrs. Doreen Gilles, St. Vital Parish Choir, and Robert MacKay ~ "Ave Maria". An Honor Guard was present with St. Vital Catholic Women's League. Pallbearers were Jordan Greenly, Bill Sabraw, Travis Wog, Ed Solie, Brian Wog, and Dennis Pidwerbeski. Memorials in are requested to Mass Offerings and Villa Pascal, 1301 - 113th St, North Battleford, SK S9A 3K1. Interment took place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon, SK with Fr. J贸n Hansen, Celebrant. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service. 446-4200 Our family would like to thank Terry Michaud and the dedicated staff at Villa Pascal for their kindness and loving care of our Mother.
