Ray is survived by his sons: Darryl (Mona) Thompson of Saskatoon, SK, Howard (Maureen) Thompson of North Battleford, SK, Randy (Lorraine) Thompson of St. Albert, AB, Darren (Toni) Thompson of Ottawa, ON, daughter-in-law, Susan Thompson, Red Deer, AB; 8 grandchildren: Tara (Dennis) Kayln; Evan Thompson, Jaylynne (Rick) Fox; Patricia Thompson; Michelle Court; Nathan (Margie) Steingart; Gary Campagna; Cody Thompson; 10 Great-Grandchildren: Tatiana Thompson; Webster, Drew & Jenna Fox; Noah, Will, Hudson & Lincoln Steingart; Emily & Kyler Court; sister, Muriel Watt and family; brother, Bert Thompson and family as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents Archie and Lillian Thompson; brother, Gordon Thompson and son Blair Thompson. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from "The Garden Chapel" ~ Battlefords Funeral Service, North Battleford, SK with Rev. Kathleen Horwood officiating. Interment took place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, North Battleford, SK. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the A.L.S. Society of Saskatchewan, 90C Cavendish Street, Regina, SK S4N 5G7.
