POYNTER, Mary Eileen ; Eileen is with her Ted again. Eileen passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 in Edmonton. Mother was born February, 12, 1917 in Bow Island Alberta, to Gordon and Isabel Howden. While still a child the family moved to Nanton, where Eileen grew up. She met and married the love of her life in Calgary, Ted [Fred Clifford] Poynter. Eventually they moved to Edmonton. There they became owners and partners of Park Hardware. Retirement took them to North Battleford, SK., where they lived until Ted's passing in 2002. Mother then moved to Lethbridge to be nearer family. She lived there until her recent move to Edmonton. Eileen is survived by daughter Diane Poynter, daughter Dorothy [Robert] Kent and son Roy [Charlene] Poynter. Also missing her are her grandchildren Kim Barber, Kelly Soare, Rob Kent, Dawn Benoit, Ted Kent, Katie Dumont and Kevin Poynter and her great grandchildren and great- greatgrandchildren. Eileen was predeceased by her brothers Cecil Howden, Melvin Howden, Ivan Howden, sister Margaret Montgomery and Grandson Michael Benoit. A family service to celebrate Eileen's life will be held at a later date. ____________________________________________________
