Lorne is survived by his daughter, Lorene (Morris) Chomey; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Gordon Chomey, Curtis (Rosalie) Chomey: Telina & Cara, David Chomey and his son Rylan; Kelly (Donna) Barthel: Krista, Morgan & Spencer; Randy (Tracy) Barthel: David, Dustin, Dawson & Liam; Darcy Barthel and his daughter Jesica; his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Lorne was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Lillie Matthews; his wife, Eva MatildaMatthews; his daughter, Marlene Eunice Matthews. A "Celebration of Life" was held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from "The Garden Chapel" ~ Battlefords Funeral Service, North Battleford, SK with Mrs. Joyce Salie officiating. The Urn Bearer was David Chomey. Memorials are requested to "Hands of Friendship Auxiliary" Battlefords District Care Centre, Box 69, Battleford, SK S0M 0E0. Interment took place at "Prairie Willow Columbaria", City Cemetery, North Battleford, SK. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service.
