ALLAN; It is with great sadness the family of Lillian Elizabeth Allan announces her passing on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011. Lillian was born the 7th child of nine children to George and Elizabeth Baker at Plunkett, Saskatchewan on February 17th, 1928. She spent the first 18 years of her life on the Baker family farm assisting her parents and siblings with the everyday duties of farm life. Then she met Alexander Munro Allan and they were married on June 30th, 1947. They moved into their first home in Burr, Saskatchewan where the first 2 of six children arrived. They moved back to the Plunkett area 2 years later when Munro took over the duties as the PFRA Pasture manager with Lillian as his bookkeeper. They raised 4 more children before moving in 1970 to the Mayfair District where they managed the PFRA Meeting Lake Pasture for 5 more years. In the spring of 1976 both Lillian and Munro retired to North Battleford, Saskatchewan where they spent many years together in the company of numerous family and friends. Family was very important to Lillian and together with Munro they raised 6 children of their own and welcomed over 100 foster children into their home over the course of many years as well as always 小蓝视频 there to babysit any and all children when she was asked. Lillian's interests included playing the piano, organ, and accordion; spending time in the garden; and sewing for family and friends. She volunteered her time with the local and National Foster Parents Association as their Vice President for several years, volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels, served with the UCW Auxiliary, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Women's Auxiliary. Lillian (Bubbles) was predeceased by her parents George and Elizabeth Baker, 4 brothers - Frank, Harold, Keith, George (Tuff) and 3 sisters - Hilda, Pat, and Ethel and her husband Munro Allan. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Anne Jamieson of Toronto, Ontario. Her children Sharon (Alvin) Kristjansson, James (Vi) Allan, Theresa (Rod) Boll, Rod (Debbie) Allan, Laurie (Murray) Beitel, Kathy ( Rae) Coward, a very special niece, Bev Snede, 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from Third Avenue United Church, North Battleford, SK with Rev. Fred J. Tinio Officiating. The Eulogy was given by son-in-law, Rod Boll, and Shared Memories by, granddaughter, Sherry Peyachew. The Honorary Pallbearers were " The many people that touched Mom's life especially after Dad passed away. Her friends were a great comfort to her and she treasured the time she was able to spend with them". Pallbearers were Schon Boll, Kahl Boll, Timothy Edworthy, Christopher Edworthy, Justin Beitel and Dayne Hansen. Donations in Lillian's Memory can be made to Third Avenue United Church UCW or to any Unit of The Canadian Cancer Society (for Breast Cancer Research).
