One of the most anticipated and exciting days on the high school athletics calendar is the annual Battle West District Track and Field meet held at the North Battleford City Track.
That anticipation and excitement has been put on hold, as the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation are taking job action Wednesday and Thursday, which was the original scheduled dates of the track meet.
Because there will be no classes or extra-curricular activities during those two days, Living Sky School Division confirmed the track and field meet has been postponed. Monday is a possibility for the re-schedule meet to take place, but that hasn't been determined, and should be know by Wednesday or Thursday.
Both the Living Sky School Division and Light of Christ Catholic School Division are hopeful they will be able to schedule the event to select the athletes who deserve to advance to provincials in Regina June 3 and 4.
