The Battlefords Midgets Stars came home with one of four possible points from their weekend road trip to Yorkton.
Saturday, the Stars were in line for their second win of the season, but gave up two shorthanded goals late in the third period and had to settle for the 4-4 tie as nothing was settled in the five minute overtime.
Blair Mahon was in net and made 34 saves.
Colby Cave scored twice, while Dylan Fluter and Justin Lund added singles. Colby Daniels had two assists while Lund, Fluter, Jeff Olson, Regan Yew and Jesse Gerbig had single assists.
Olson received a gross misconduct for removing his helmet in a fight in the second period along with the fighting major and game misconduct. With the gross misconduct comes an automatic two-game suspension and he was forced to sit out Sunday.
Regan Santoro was in the net for the Stars in the second game of the weekend and he suffered a 6-3 loss while facing 33 shots.
Gerbig scored twice while Dallan Walker added a single goal and Ryne Keller, Garrett Zelinski, Dillon Forbes, Eric Pfeifer and Yew had assists.
The Stars sit at 1-2-1-0 this season and face the 3-0-0-1 Beardy's Blackhawks Thursday before a seven day break.
