The North Battleford Comprehensive High School wrestling team recently tussled in their first tournament of the season.
Medals were won and valuable experience was gained.
The wrestling team consists of Pita Tuiloma, Brendon Elliott, Shea O'Bertos, Taisley Isaac, Taylor Reiley, Grady Nash, Erica Landrie, Schalk Engelbrecht, Liam Burns, Kasia Kipp, and Cody Kupp. Reiley, Nash, Landrie, Burns, Kipp and Kupp were all experiencing their first wrestling tournament.
Burns and Landrie came in first in their pools while Isaac, Tuiloma, and Engelbrecht finished second. Burns won all his matches, Landrie, Isaac and Tuiloma won four of five matches, Engelbrecht won three and lost two, Reiley and Kupp won twice and lost three times, Nash and Kipp won once and lost four matches and Elliott won one and lost two.
