Forty-two skiers took over the Carlton Trail Ski Club's course near Dixon on January 23 to compete in a Sask Cup Cross Country Ski race.
Among the racers were 13 members of the Carlton Trail Ski Club (CTSC): Christine Martinuk, Mitchel Rohrke, Geneva Grest, Katlin Schwartz, Daniel Everitt, Kyle Everitt, Kellin Everitt, Andrew Klassen, Andrew Benning, Jenna Hofmann, Brooklyn Hofmann, Alyssa Hofmann and Emily McKay.
Other clubs represented included LaRonge, Saskatoon, Sturgeon River and Flin Flon.
Some of these skiers were competing in their first-ever race, and they had a beautiful, sunny few hours to do that before the races ended in a snowstorm.
