The North Stars were knocked out of the playoffs and shutout from he SJHL awards due to some huge seasons from some of the top players across the SJHL.
The SJHL Player of the Year and top scorer honour went to Travis Eggum of the La Ronge Ice Wolves. Eggum's 58 goals were the most in the league since 1999 and he finished with 106 points.
Another Ice Wolves' forward, Marc Andre-Carre was named the leagues MVP. Carre was tied with Eggum in points with 106
Top goaltender honours go to Russell Abbott of Notre Dame. Despite the Hounds not making the playoffs, Abbott had the second most minutes played during the regular season and a 2.56 goals against average.
Blaine Tendler of the Yorkton Terriers won the top defenceman award, as he notched 11 goals and 16 assists in 47 games with Sherwood Conference leading Terriers.
Nipawin Hawks' forward Elie Lichenwald was named the Rookie of the Year. He had 21 goals and 24 assists and was one of Nipawin's best and most consistent players this season.
The last winner announced was Tanner McCall of the Weyburn Red Wings. McCall was selected as the recipient of the RBC Junior A Scholarship. The Red Wings defenceman will received $6,000 in total to go towards post-secondary schooling.
