The Settlers played in Radisson Saturday and, with former Maymont Blues on both sides, the current Maymont team pulled out the 8-4 win.

Jeff Swain led the Settlers' offence with a hat trick. Kinley Sevick and Chris Beierle had a goal and two assists, Kenton Albert, Stacey Wandler and Regan Johnson had a goal and an assist and captain Mark Melrose was the other multi-point player picking up two assists.

On the Radisson side, the Wheat Kings hosted their first senior game since 1995. Because of that there was a buzz in the arena, as the local fans were excited to welcome back senior hockey. Ryan Blatchford, Shayn Dubyk and Kenton Haugrud had single assists.

One night earlier, the Settlers were in Battleford to play the Beaver Blues.

Jon Rose allowed six goals while Glen Heidt gave up two and the Beaver Blues lost 8-3.
