The Battlefords North Stars have postponed their home opener again, but hopefully only for a few days.

The reason this time is because of the issues surrounding the Flin Flon Bombers. The Bombers are based in Manitoba which is under a Code Red lockdown, preventing games from happening in their venue. The team had planned to travel into Saskatchewan to play as a road team in their series against Kindersley but that series ended up cancelled as well.聽

The Flin Flon Reminder has reported the Bombers have been looking at ways to play in the league while complying with the health orders, and one idea 小蓝视频 floated is to hold practices in Creighton, Sask. while playing this season on the road.聽聽

While efforts go on to try and resolve the situation behind the scenes, their weekend games with the North Stars at the Civic Centre have been postponed. Those were scheduled for Nov. 20 and 21.

The North Stars explained the situation on their Facebook feed.

鈥淭his weekend we are set to play Flin Flon. As you know, Flin Flon is located in Manitoba & Manitoba is on a Code Red lockdown. Flin Flon is seeking Gov鈥檛 and Health approval to move their club into Sask- thus, permitted to play in the league. While we await approval, our games scheduled for this weekend will be post-poned. If Flin Flon is granted approval, these games will be played Tue/Wed of Next week.鈥

This is the second time the North Stars have had to push back their opening game. Their home opener scheduled for Nov. 7 versus Kindersley was cancelled due to bad winter weather on the roads to the Battlefords.聽

Anyone who purchased tickets for games on Nov 7, 20 or 21 will be refunded today, according to the club. Once the games with Flin Flon are confirmed tickets will be opened up, the club states.
