Wednesday marked the first day of the Battlefords Ladies Fastball League and all eight teams were scheduled to start the season.
This year's scheduled includes four Battlefords teams, one at each level as the Survivors, Junior Vipers, Midget Bandits and Bantam Bandits will all play in the league. Joining the Battlefords teams will be the Edam Ladies, Unity Midget Panthers and two Unity Bantam teams.
Wednesday at the Flats, the Battlefords Midget Bandits beat the Survivors 10-6.
The Unity Midget also earned their first win of the season after beating the Unity Bantams 1 6-4 in Unity.
The two remaining bantam teams were scheduled to play at the Flats Wednesday while Edam was set to host the Junior Vipers.
The ladies' league regular season will run until June 27, and will be followed by three days of playoffs.
The ladies play at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday next week before changing to he regular time of 7 p.m.
