Local community and arena staff at La Ronge鈥檚 arena are working within public health restrictions in order to give all their user groups the opportunities to use their facilities.聽

This has included increased sanitation, time limits on users coming and going from the facility, and separate entrances and exits. Current regulations say only 30 people are allowed on the ice with another 30 allowed in the stands. Signing in to the facility is also a must to allow for contract tracing in case of a COVID-19 case.

Town officials have been ready to see these plans change as COVID-19 cases ebb and drop within the province and different regulations come down from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Tonia Logan, recreation manager with the Town of La Ronge, said they will be looking into mini-leagues that have been allowed by the Saskatchewan Hockey Association with 50 person restriction within the entire for players, coaches, and officials. Local hockey associations will be talking about getting the league together with small three on three games 小蓝视频 a possibility.

Mask use will be mandatory for players and coaches except for when players are on the ice, Logan said, which was a decision made by the user groups themselves.

鈥淲e met with all of their user groups one on one in the facility to walk them through like how we're thinking about making everything work and and we were able to brainstorm and come up with some different ideas and that was one of them.鈥

鈥淎s long as we stay within those guidelines, then we're able to have that kind of stuff.鈥

Potential arena goers are also 小蓝视频 asked to stay home if they are not feeling well. Any questions or concerns can be directed to local arena staff.
