Wilkie moved to the top of the North Saskatchewan River Hockey League standings with two lopsided wins on the weekend.
Wilkie now sits at 3-1 after a 12-1 Friday night win against Paradise Hill and a 7-0 victory over Turtleford Saturday.
The Outlaws took a 3-0 lead into the second period and 20 minutes later were up 8-0. Barrett Penner and Mark Lorenz both scored hat tricks while Rick Cey had a goal and five assists. Mike Sittler had two goals and two assists. Other goal scorers for Wilkie include Ryan Scheafer, David Schell and Lorne Griffiths. In total 12 of the 16 skaters earned a point for the Outlaws.
Brad Naeth scored Paradise Hill's goal from Jamie Jeanotte and Marvis McClellan.
Nick Pernitsky was the winning goalie for the Outlaws with 22 saves while Mike Kaltenborn and Walker Duriez faced over 50 shots in the Hawks' net.
The next night, Pernitsky shutout Turtleford and Penner and Sittler each scored twice. Will Rathje, Cey and Nick Zoller had single markers.
Saturday, the teams combined for 88 penalty minutes, four game misconducts and one player from each side will be suspended for one game due to a fighting major and game misconduct in the last 10 minutes.
Maidstone's first two games produced two wins, as they beat Turtleford 14-0 Friday and Saturday, they edged Edam 5-3. Dustin MacDonald earned both wins and the offence was led by Ryan Johnston who had six goals and four assists in two games. Jason Roberts and Brett Harrison had seven points, Quinton Blanchette had five and Sheldon Rafuse, Troy Johnston and Kent Sayers had three each.
The final game from the weekend was between Meadow Lake and Spiritwood and a shootout was needed to determine a winner.
After Meadow Lake's Brendon Read and Brendon Wasyliw matched Tyson Turgeon's two goals in the first period the teams were knotted at 2-2 after the first.
In the second, Les Ludwig and Dustin Gorst scored for Meadow Lake while Bryce Gatzke answered for Spiritwood.
Gatzke scored to tie the game 4-4 in the third, but minutes later Darren Caron reclaimed the Stampeders lead. Quinton Swiftwolfe tied the game and overtime was needed.
In the extra frame nothing was solved and it was Wasyliw scoring the shootout winner for Meadow Lake.
Rick Dallyn earned the 6-5 win over Marty Lehouillier.
The final game this week was played Wednesday in Paradise Hill between the Hawks and St. Walburg Eagles.
The Eagles, who may have lost their starting goalie, Bryan Bridges, turned to a reliable second option in Kristian Sawyshyn. He played well but suffered the 5-3 loss. Derek Jeanotte scored twice while Jamie Jeanotte, Coleman Bear and Naeth scored singles.
One game from last week, Edam at St. Walburg, was postponed.
There are six more games scheduled for the weekend.
