Denholm Curling Club held a cash bonspiel Jan.29 and 30 with eight teams entered. According to those in attendance, the bonspiel was a success and everyone in attendance had fun. Spectators were treated to some fabulous shots and exciting games.
The first place team was comprised of Max Winterholt, Glen Sieben, Seton Winterholt and Ralph Hall.
Second place went to the team of Bob Guest, Linda Killoran, Don Kachmarski and Brian Neabel.
Allan Hoffman, Brian Shutra, Doug Harrison and Gary Pauls were third.
In fourth place was the team of Peter Pauls, Roy Redding, Rob Reid and Michael Thompson.
The Denholm Hotel donated $1,500 towards the cash prizes for the bonspiel. With the support of the local business and the volunteers who helped prepare the ice, the Denholm Curling Club hopes to have another successful bonspiel again next year.
