The North Battleford Golf and County Club held its annual club championship on the weekend, as Brett Harrison and Deanna Klusa tried to hold off the competition and repeat as champions.
Harrison did everything he could to hold off the competition and retain his trophy and coveted parking spot, which is awarded to the club champion annual.
Harrison was in contention after day one with a first round 72. Nevin Gloe and Dave Curniski were tied on top of the leader board with 71 scores.
Sunday, Gloe fired a 76 while Harrison finished with a 75 forcing a tiebreaker. On the first tie-breaking hole, Gloe prevailed and dethroned Harrison.
The win was Gloe's second major tournament at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club in less than a month, as he won the Labatt's Northwest Open Championship by a stroke. That game came down to the final hole as well Aug. 13 and 14.
In third place in the championship flight was Curniski with a two-day total of 148. Marty Friedrich and Bryce Bohun rounded out the top five with 152 and 154 scores respectively.

Klusa took second place while Cheryl Hartl was third, followed by Paula Scherr and Sophia Jean.
In the men's championship second flight it was Will Rathje's strong second round score of 76 that distanced him from the other eight in the flight.
Rathje was tied for first in his flight after Saturday's round with an 81 with Jeff Gibson and Jim Park.
Tim Sletten made a charge Sunday after shooting a 77 to add to his first-round score of 82. Park finished third, Gibson fourth and Tyler Wilson fifth in the flight.
In the senior men's first flight, the top five golfers were separated by two strokes after Saturday's round and after Sunday's round, the top four were still that close. Brian Lampitt and Lloyd Hartl were tied at 77 after day one, but Lampitt held on to take first place with two-day total of 152. Hartl and Herb Weinmeyer finished with 153 scores, Jamie Town fired a 154 and Neil Lampitt was fifth with a 157.
In the senior men's second flight, Don Humphreys and David George finished with 173s while Doc Ahmand, Wally Schreiber and Glenn Hornick rounded out the top five.
Just two competed in the senior ladies' division and it was Marj Muth edging Sharon Lampitt with a score of 174.
