The Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association's SIGA Pro Tour event scheduled that was to take place in St. Walburg this weekend has been cancelled.

The race was cancelled Thursday due to unsafe track conditions. Excessive water combined with a high water table has resulted in damage to the infield and areas of the track.

Extensive efforts between the St. Walburg Ag Society and CPCA Officials were made to repair the track however it was determined the track is unrepairable at this time and unfit for competition. The CPCA is committed to the safety and welfare of their horses, participants and fans and will make every effort to ensure all standards are met without compromise.

Last summer, the race originally scheduled for North Battleford was rescheduled because of rain and wet track conditions, but did return to the Battlefords later in the summer.
