It was a closer score than the last time the Battlefords AAA Sharks played the Prince Albert Bears, but the Sharks still suffered the loss.
Saturday in Prince Albert, the Sharks ended the 2010 portion of their schedule with a 3-0 loss. The last time these teams met, the Bears won 7-4.
After one period the score was tied, as Prince Albert couldn't beat Jacy Akre on their nine shots and the Sharks were unsuccessful on their three attempts.
In the second, Kelly Regnier beat Akre and put Prince Albert up 1-0.
Danielle Miller scored a powerplay goal for the Bears in the third followed by a Carlee Hrenkiw goal to cap off the scoring on the night.
The Bears were 1/8 with the man advantage while the Sharks were 0/5.
Akre played well making 28 saves while Jessica Vance earned the shutout with 25 saves.
The Sharks are now on their holiday break and will be back in game action Jan. 8 and 9 when they travel to Regina.
